Roofing Process

The whole roofing process can seem scary; however, we are here to guide you every step of the way. We have created six steps that AmeTex Roofing does for our customers.

Step 1. The Inspection

The first step is to call us in order to assess the roof and take measurements; we will talk to you about your concerns and assess the project. We will try to determine whether or not the roof has potential seen or unseen damage that will need to be remedied prior to reroofing and if there is a need to re-roof(it may be a roof leak). All of these items and more will determine the final estimate but we will be happy to explain everything in detail and in person so that you know exactly what to expect.

Step 2. Proposal

We will write you a proposal on site or email it to you (whatever you prefer) the proposal will include all the information you need to understand the estimate of the final price and any extras that may be expected. This will include the brand, style and color of any products that are needed for your job. We recommend that you ask as many questions as possible in order that you may obtain an answer prior to commencement. In turn you will know exactly what to expect prior to the project commencement.

Step 3. Scheduling

Once your contract is signed, your project will be scheduled. However, keep in mind that weather plays a large part in deciding when it's best to begin. We definitely do not tear off your old roof until the weather is clear enough to safely do so. We will then begin ordering the materials needed for your project and in some cases we have them in stock but due to the variety of styles and colors this is not always possible. We work with suppliers in our area to provide a large selection of products we offer.  We will inform you as to the availability of the products you have selected and will advise and schedule a date based on that information. Once the materials are available we will pick them up ourselves or have them delivered directly to the property.

Step 4. Unseen Damage

We can now see the conditions of the roof decking this may be sagging or water damaged pieces that will need to be removed and replaced in order for your new roof to perform properly and do so for the entire life expectancy. Of course we will let you know of any actions prior to doing anything, once we can see if there is any damage and any additional costs involved.

Step 5. Protect Everything

Roofing your home can get messy. However, during the process we do our very best to protect your landscape and other items around in your home from damage. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service and part of this is leaving your home beautiful-er!

Step 6. Installing your new roof

All roofing materials are installed according to manufacturer’s requirements in order to make sure that you get the most life out of your new roof. We do not believe in cutting corners. Rest assured that you know your roof is installed correctly the first time.
